With the dream of a new fight for the flyweight belt (up to 56,7kg), Jennifer maia has a tougher obstacle in its way. The Brazilian fighter will face the North American Katlyn chookagian on January 15, 2002. The information was first released on the website 'MMA Ideas' and confirmed by 'Combate'.

Number four in the rankings, Jennifer had her first chance to fight for the belt in November 2020, but was defeated by the champion Valentina Shevchenko. The Brazilian recovered with a triumph over Jessica Eye, in July of this year. The athlete from Paraná has an MMA record that includes 17 positive results, seven negative results and one draw.

Current second place, Katlyn also had her opportunity to dethrone the group leader and failed. In February 2020, the American faced Valentina and was knocked out in the third round. Chookagian has 16 wins and four losses in the sport.
