The success of Corey anderson in Bellator, who reached the final of the light heavyweight Grand Prix (up to 93kg.) by knocking out Ryan bader last Saturday (16), he caught the attention of his former rival and current UFC division champion, Jan Blachowicz, and the atmosphere between the two athletes heated up again.

After overcoming Bader, Anderson stated that he considers himself the greatest light heavyweight in the world and was then criticized by Blachowicz. Ultimate champion, the Pole attacked the North American, saying that he had fled to the '2nd league' after the last fight between the two.

“Wait a minute, so a guy who ran away from the UFC after I almost made him retire, got a few wins in the 2nd league (Bellator) and says he's the best? Maybe I punched him too hard. There are acceptable levels of this,” Blachowicz wrote in his 'Twitter' official.

The rivalry between Jan and Corey actually began in 2018. At the time, the two faced each other with the North American winning the judges' decision. And, after the provocation, Anderson recalled a huge swelling of his former rival in the first fight between the two.

“He must have forgotten (about the swelling),” Corey responded.

About two years later, in February 2020, Blachowicz showed great superiority by knocking out Corey in the first round. The fight even marked the North American's farewell to the organization. Since then, the athlete has not lost any more in his career, having won three fights (against Melvin Manhoef, Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov and Ryan bader).
