Former heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg) in the UFC, Junior Gypsy, finally, made his pro-wrestling debut (telecatch) last Friday (15), on 'AEW Dynamite'. The Brazilian performed in a team duel, between the American Top Team (with the fighters paige vanzant e Jorge masvidal) and the main members of 'All Elite Wrestling's'.

In his characteristic style, Cigano went after Chris Jericho, Jake Hager and Sammy Guevara, having participated in a scene in which he cornered his opponents against the fence, took them down and continued punching them on the ground. In one of the moments, the Brazilian was even thrown by one of the members on a table outside the ring.

Released by the UFC in March this year, Junior Gypsy has not performed in mixed martial arts since December 2020, when he was knocked out by the interim champion, Cyryl Gane. Despite the time inactive, the Brazilian athlete has not yet indicated his future. He has already received inquiries from Bellator and BKFC – a 'bare-knuckle boxing' event – ​​and has also opened the door to compete in boxing.

Professional since 2006, the Brazilian has a record of 21 positive results and nine negative results in his career. In his career, he has already beaten big names like Fabricio Werdum, Mirko Cro Cop, Cain Velazquez, Frank mir, Mark Hunt e Stipe Miocic.
