The fight

Manon Fiorot remained undefeated in Ultimate, beating Mayra Sheetara on the main card of UFC Vegas 40. Without any major difficulties, the Frenchwoman completely dominated the Brazilian with stomps and kicks, taking the fight with a unanimous decision from the judges (30-27, 30-26, 30-27). The duel was valid for the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg).

The fight began with a frank exchange between the athletes. Mayra Sheetara invested in front kicks that hurt Manon Fiorot. So, the Frenchwoman decided to 'get back', managed to increase the intensity of her long-range strikes and even applied a takedown in the last minute of the fight, even though it was not effective.

In the second round, Fiorot went in to try for a takedown and was thwarted by Sheetara. With the lap standing, Mayra tried to impose her pace, denying her rival's attempts and cornering her in the short distance. Manon, in fact, had a good advantage, but felt a blow in the final stretch, being saved by the bell.

The same summary was written in the third and final round. While Mayra tried to close, Manon kept her distance and rejected the approach with front kicks. With about four minutes to go, Fiorot managed another takedown, landing in half guard. On top, however, the Frenchwoman was not effective and the fight was resumed on the feet, once again being commanded by the European.

Undefeated in Ultimate, Fiorot has her third victory in a series – the eighth in a row. Considered one of the flyweights' greatest promises, the Frenchwoman now has eight victories and just one setback.

Mayra, in turn, had her second duel without winning. In his career, there are seven positive results, two negative results and one draw.

With the triumph, Landwehr managed to win for the second time in the organization – in four fights. Now, as a professional, the North American has 15 triumphs and four setbacks.

On the other hand, Klein recorded his second setback in a series – the fifth in his career. The Slovak has a record of 17 positive results and four negative results.
