For some fighters, facing the current champion of the category being called up at the last minute can be a difficult task to assimilate. This is not the case with Julius Anglickas. Substitute for Anthony Johnson in the light heavyweight tournament (up to 93kg), the Lithuanian fighter celebrated the fact of being the 'zebra' of the fight against Vadim nemkov and showed peace of mind to do his job.

“I feel a little calmer than usual. The media and all the little extra things I need to do just keep me distracted from just sitting in my room and being nervous about things. I just interact with people in the media and talk about it. It definitely helps with dealing with things. At the same time, I think the pressure is off as all the pressure is on him. He is the champion. He needs to defend the belt. I'm a substitute and now I just need to come in and fight my best,” said Julius.

The Lithuanian fighter refuted comments that Nemkov will have an easy fight, but celebrated the fact that he will have no pressure on his shoulders in the fight.

“People already assume he's going to win just because he's the champion and he's fighting a reserve. I feel like it takes a lot of pressure off me. I feel more pressure when I know I'm in a fight that everyone thinks I'm going to win. I stop and think, 'Oh my God. Now I really need to win.' Yes, this can throw me off my game. Now, nothing is out there that could distract me. Let's go out there, feel good, perform well and do the best we can. Well, that's how I feel now. I hope it's exactly like that. It’s exactly how I feel it will be”, concluded the Lithuanian.
