Leon Edwards criticizes Gilbert Durinho for challenging other fighters on the internet: 'Just talking shit'

Even with a duel scheduled in Ultimate, welterweight (up to 77,1kg) Leon edwards returned to exchange provocations with Brazilian Gilbert Durinho. In an interview with 'MMA fighting', the English fighter criticized the Tupiniquim athlete's habit of challenging other fighters over the internet and accused him of using the attitude as a strategy to keep his name relevant.

“He's a horrible bastard, that's what I tell him. Everything he posts on social media is talking shit. You put his name and it appears that he will fight anyone, but in reality it is not like that. He’s just doing this to keep his name relevant,” Edwards attacked.

Number three in the welterweight rankings, Leon has one of the organization's longest winning streaks. With nine consecutive victories, the Englishman has not been defeated since December 2015. On that occasion, he suffered a setback to the then promising Kamaru Usman. The fighter has an MMA record of 19 positive results and three negative results.
