After being sent off, Jon Jones thanks the team for support in his career and regrets: 'It's painful'

After being accused of alleged domestic violence, 'Bones' was expelled from the 'Jackson Wink MMA' gym and spoke out on the matter

Former UFC light heavyweight (up to 93kg) champion, Jon Jones was kicked out of his gym, Jackson Wink MMA, after being arrested on charges of domestic violence, battery and vehicle tampering. Through its social networks, the 'Bones' regretted his departure and thanked the team for all their contribution to his career in mixed martial arts.

“I had a moving phone conversation with one of my longtime coaches last night. It's really painful to lose the support of someone I respect so much. Sincere thanks to the other coaches for staying in the fight with me. Our journey continues,” Jones wrote in his ‘Twitter' official.

According to him, the American could return to the team in the future, as long as he recovers from his frequent drinking problems. He also says that he hopes to see the 'resurgence' of the legend, if he returns to his career.

Involved in a new controversy in his life, Jones still has an undefined future in Ultimate. The athlete, who has not stepped into the Octagon since February 2020, was preparing to make his debut at heavyweight (up to 120,2kg).
