A deep cut and a real bloodbath marked the penultimate fight on the preliminary card of the UFC Las Vegas 39, held this Saturday (9). In the third round, Charles Rosa landed a well-aimed elbow on Damon Jackson, causing a 'sea of red' in the Octagon. Despite the injury, the 'victim' managed to overcome the adversity and beat his rival in a unanimous decision by the judges.

Until the moment of the incident, Rosa and Jackson were promoting a confrontation marked by technique in 'fighting on the ground'. Victim of the sharp blow, Jackson controlled the actions well in the initial rounds.
In the last stage, despite the cut, Damon did not let the complicated moment affect him. The fighter 'ignored' his condition and once again imposed his pace against his opponent, who was unable to nullify his opponent's quality grappling.
After 15 minutes, the result went to the judges. In the unanimous decision, Jackson was declared the winner and even asked for another commitment in 2021.
In his second stint in the UFC, Damon now has two wins in three engagements. The athlete managed to recover from the stumble he suffered in front of Ilia Topuriain December 2020.
