“We received the call, but I just recovered from Covid-19. We weren't training, so I couldn't take this fight. I was upset, but, things happen for a reason,” Font said.

Even without being able to accept the duel against Yan, Font will have a tough challenge ahead. The North American will measure forces against the Brazilian José Aldo on December 4th. The bantamweight talked about his expectations for the fight.

“I love Aldo’s style. I grew up watching him and I think I get along well with him. I think my length, my accuracy, my movement and my exploits will be too much for him to handle. I feel like I'm going to overwhelm him just with the looks I give him and then hope everything goes well. I want to get him out of there (from the octagon) as quickly as possible”, concluded Font.

Number four in the ranking led by aljamain sterling, Rob is coming off four consecutive UFC triumphs. His last setback was in July 2018, for the Brazilian Raphael Assunção. The American has a professional MMA record of 19 wins and four losses.
