Michael Bisping reveals his support for the fight between Israel Adesanya and Alex Poatan in the UFC

In a statement given on his podcast, the English fighter believes that Ultimate should schedule the fight given the history of clashes between the two athletes

The former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg) Michael Bisping was one more to sing the duel between Israel adesanya and the newly hired Alex Poatán. Given the history of confrontation between the two athletes in the kickboxing, the former English fighter believes that the UFC should marry this fight in the organization. The statement was given on his podcast 'Believe you me'.

“What a fun fight to make and with a great story it's 'Adesanya vs. Poatan' for the middleweight title. Israel is like, 'For God's sake, isn't this guy going to disappear?' Do you understand what I say? 'He beat me twice in kickboxing, I fell out of that world and now the guy shows up'… Adesanya isn't going to knock anyone down, no offense,” said Bisping.

The two athletes have already faced each other twice in the Glory kickboxing event. In the first duel, in 2016, the Brazilian won by unanimous decision from the judges. The rematch took place in 2017 and the Nigerian was defeated again, this time by knockout.

At 34, Alex signed with the UFC after more than seven years of success in the striking event. For Glory, the Brazilian fighter competed in 40 fights, with 33 wins and just seven losses. In mixed martial arts, the Brazilian has a record of three triumphs and just one setback.
