One of the main names of TUF 17, middleweight Bubba McDaniel – pupil and training partner of Jon Jones – is another athlete scheduled for UFC on FOX Sports 2. Bubba will face Swedish Magnus Cedenblad at the event on August 28th.
Bubba was Jones' third choice on the reality show and, interestingly, he ended up defeated by the show's two finalists: the champion Kelvin Gastelum in the first round and for Uriah Hall in the quarterfinals – after obtaining their place in the repechage.
His opponent, Magnus Cedenblad, will make his second fight for Ultimate. The Swede debuted in the main MMA organization on the planet in April last year, at UFC on FUEL TV 2, in his home country, being defeated by Frenchman Francis Carmont.
UFC on FOX Sports 2 is scheduled to take place on August 28th at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis (USA). In addition to the fight between McDaniel and Cedenblad, the fight between the welterweights Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann has also been announced for the event.
