Duel between Ketlen Vieira and Miesha Tate is rescheduled as the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 43

Ultimate has set a new date for the duel between Ketlen Scallop e Miesha Tate. The Brazilian and the North American former champion of the organization will face each other in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg) in the main fight of the UFC Las Vegas 43, on November 20th.

Ketlen Scallop e Miesha Tate were originally going to face each other in UFC Las Vegas 40, on October 16th. However, the fight had to be postponed after the former champion tested positive for Covid-19.

Nova União athlete, Ketlen Scallop seeks to recover from the defeat suffered against It's Kunitskaya in February this year. Ranked seventh in the rankings, the Manaus native won her first four fights in Ultimate, between 2016 and 2018. In her last three appearances, however, the “Phenomenon” was defeated twice.

Former division champion, Miesha Tate returned from a period of almost five years away from the octagon with a victory over veteran Marion Reneau in July this year. The result was enough to place “Cupcake” in eighth place in the bantamweight rankings. Tate is looking to win two in a row for the first time since she crashed Jessica Eye e Holly holm, in 2015 and 2016, respectively.

Ketlen Scallop is the second representative of Brazil confirmed on the card of UFC Las Vegas 40. In addition to her, heavyweight Augusto Sakai takes action against the Australian Tai tuivasa.
