Brazilian heavyweight Gabriel Napao was announced by the UFC as Shane Del Rosario's replacement in the fight against fellow American Dave Herman, scheduled for UFC 162. The fight will be part of the event's preliminary card. The organization did not inform the type of injury suffered by Del Rosario, nor the fighter's recovery time.

Herman will have a second chance to prove that jiu-jitsu really is useless. On his first attempt, he ended up succumbing to a headlock. Rodrigo Minotauro, at UFC Rio 3, when he was even caught in an anti-doping test for using marijuana. Now the American's mission will be against a former world champion and fourth degree black belt in the gentle art.
