The fight
Nick Diaz He tried a round shot and, slowly, came up short of getting it right. Then the 'bad boy' attempted the takedown and I was telegraphed by Robbie Lawler, who dodged and connected the best blows at close range. Visibly slow, Diaz felt the period of six years of inactivity at the beginning of the fight. Even so, the two athletes continued exchanging blows at close range with the audience cheering with each blow delivered. Experienced, they continued exchanging frank blows until the end of the round.
At the beginning of the second round, Lawler came back under pressure and placed Diaz against the fence. In one of the moments, he found a good kick at the belt line that made Nick feel it. The legends continued exchanging blows and, despite being tired, they continued exchanging punches for a good part of the round. In the final stretch, Robbie proved superior.
In the third round, Robbie Lawler hit a cross and straight to break the nose of Nick Diaz, who gave up fighting. After the judge's 'break', the fighters hugged each other and showed great respect.
