The evolution demonstrated in the two victories over Conor McGregor, in January and July of this year, became Dustin poirier one of the fans' favorite lightweights (up to 70,3 kg). “I’m not (the uncrowned champion). It's cool, it's fun, but I'm not. The world champion is Charles (From the Bronx). I'm trying and I have an opportunity. I have 25 minutes to make it happen, so it’s up to me,” said Poirier.

Dustin poirier should be the first challenger for the belt Charles of the Bronx. Although it has not yet been officially announced, the fight between the two should take place at UFC 269, in December this year. After completing the trilogy against Conor McGregor, with two wins and one defeat, the North American reiterated that his only objective is to become Ultimate champion.

PUBLICITY:

“The only reason I put on a pair of gloves is to become world champion, not to make money or build a name. Everything else is great, but it's just a consequence of trying to be the best and now I have another opportunity. I couldn't do it against Khabib, but I have another chance to take the belt home and add to my legacy. That’s all I’m focused on”, concluded the fighter.
