Video – In a tense confrontation, Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant exchange punches and are restrained by security guards

At a press conference to promote the event, the athletes got involved in a fight involving exchanges of blows; fight takes place on November 6th

Scheduled to take place on November 6, the fight between Canelo Alvarez placeholder image and Caleb Plant already started before the two even got into the ring. During the press conference to promote the fight, the athletes were involved in widespread confusion at theShowtime boxing', complete with an exchange of punches.

The video was released on social media and Canelo explained what happened. Champion, the Mexican publicized the moment of the fight and indicated that his opponent had cursed his mother.

At the start of the fight, Alvarez pushed Plant and, when the two approached again, he dodged an attempted punch and fought back. In the scene, it is even possible to see a cut below Caleb's eye, who was wearing glasses before the disturbance.

Now, the two athletes compete for four belts, three from the WBA, WBC and WBO – which belong to Canelo – while Plant defends the IBF title. The winner of the duel will be unified and take all the belts at stake.

With a record of 56 wins, 38 by knockout, two draws and just one defeat, Canelo Alvarez placeholder image comes from a triumph over Billy Joe Saunders, by technical knockout, in May this year, when he won the World Boxing Organization title. Álvarez's only defeat came in September 2013, against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

International Boxing Federation (IBF) champion, Caleb Plant has already defended his title on three occasions. In the last one, he defeated Caleb Truax by unanimous decision. The North American has an undefeated record with 21 victories, 12 of which were by knockout.
