Late Tuesday night (28), the announcement of a knee injury put an end to his dream. Zingano cat become a coach on the 18th edition of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter. According to the website MMA fighting, Miesha Tate was chosen as his replacement in the role.
The change in technical command of the first TUF with the female cast made possible a long-awaited rematch, but which had been postponed precisely due to Zingano cat – who won Miesha Tate in April and got the spot on the reality show. As the edition's coaches face each other at the end of the program, now, Tate will finally face her rival again Ronda Rousey – UFC women’s bantamweight champion and another coach on the program.

Zignano's injury was suffered in May, however, according to the president of Ultimate Dana White, the organization only became aware of the injury last week – when recordings of the reality show began. The director stated that there was a big surprise with the announcement and Tate’s arrival on the program.
White also commented on his expectations for TUF 18 after the change. “With Miesha on the program, she and Ronda have already had a great fight and have a historic rivalry. They don't like each other. Let's make things work, as always. Every day when I wake up, I know something bad is going to happen. That was one of them, but we will do the best we can”, declared the director.
