After the grotesque scene with the big toe bone Jon Jones during the victory over Chael Sonnen At UFC 159, another fighter suffers from the problem again, although this time the injury was not clear to the public.

The New Zealander Mark Hunt revealed that he broke his big toe during his first round of his defeat to the Brazilian Junior Gypsy, in the co-main fight of UFC 160, held last Saturday in Las Vegas. According to Hunt, the injury ended up hampering his movement for the rest of the fight.

Through his Facebook page, the  fighter stated: “Thanks for the fans, I apologize for the result. Junior was very skilled for me. I had a broken toe the first time round and I was unable to move, but, as I said before, if I'm going to leave, I'm going to come back. Thank you again. Love you."

The news is in line with the information provided by Dana White. After the fight, the UFC president said that Hunt had been taken to a hospital, without specifying the reason.
