Yoel Romero makes weight and confirms Bellator debut against Phil Davis, this Saturday

It took a while, but it happened. At 44 years old, Yoel romero is ready for his Bellator debut, which takes place this Saturday (18). Former UFC representative, the veteran easily passed the official weigh-in, held this Friday (17) and confirmed the confrontation against Phil Davis. The athlete will compete in the light heavyweight category (up to 93kg).

Former challenger for the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg.) in Ultimate, Yoel romero it will be tested in the upper room in the 'new house'. On the scale, the Cuban measured 93,1kg, close to the exact limit for a title fight.

Responsible for welcoming the veteran, Phil Davis he was slightly heavier than his opponent. Former champion of the category, the athlete scored 93,4kg.

Brazilian representative at the show, Neiman Gracie is also confirmed on the show. With an eye on a future fight for the welterweight throne, the Tupiniquim weighed in at 77,3kg.

Gracie's rival, Mark Lemminger, also had no problems. The athlete weighed 77kg.

Only flaw

The only failure in the measurements was due to the flyweight (up to 56,7kg.) DeAnna Bennet. Acting on the main card, the athlete did not make a good weight cut and exceeded the established limit, weighing 58,6kg.

Bennet's opponent, Alejandra Lara did her homework. The athlete weighed 56,7kg.
