Bellator's bet, Yoel was hired at the end of last season to face the light heavyweight talents (up to 93kg) in the organization. The Cuban would initially make his debut against another former UFC representative, Anthony Johnson. However, a medical problem postponed his debut and even forced the veteran to leave the division tournament.

With the issues resolved, Romero has a new date to enter the circular cage for the first time. This Saturday (18), the athlete will exchange forces against Phil Davis and he will be able to prove that he is still capable of performing at a high level.
