“What happened was that, initially, Jake Paul He wanted to fight me. But later, when I really wanted to do it, his team canceled the fight. It happened when he was leaving the UFC and hadn't signed with Bellator yet. But they (entrepreneurs) said no. They didn’t want me and decided to go with Ben Askren,” said Romero.

After the supposed denial, the YouTuber faced – and beat – fellow former UFC fighter Ben Askren. On that occasion, Paul knocked him out in the first round and then also defeated Tyron woodley. Asked about the adventures of digital influencers in boxing, Yoel states that they are choosing 'easy fights' to gain notoriety in the sport.

“They don’t want to face a real fighter. (The Paul brothers) are just trying to make a show of it and don't want to ruin the show. They are finding the fights easy and even though (Logan) fought Mayweather, he had a huge weight difference,” concluded the Cuban.
