UFC strawweight champion (up to 52,2 kg) and about to defend the belt for the sixth time, Valentina Shevchenko is increasingly becoming one of MMA fans' favorite fighters, both for her skill and her fighting style.

During her appearance on MMA Hour, a program on the North American website MMAFighting, Shevchenko revealed who the fighters she most enjoys watching in action in Ultimate.
“I like complete fighters, who can do everything. Striking, grappling. I think a great example is Kamaru Usman. Israel adesanya, Jon Jones, who else? Fighters who have personality, charisma. Jorge masvidal e Nick Diaz, who will fight on the same card as me”, listed the champion.
According to Valentina, for a fighter to become a fan favorite, it is not enough to have a pleasant fighting style, but to integrate it into his personality.
“You don’t choose to like a fighter just because of his fighting style. When you choose your favorite fighter it's because you like his or her charisma. It's a combination of everything. How the person manages to express their fighting style and their style of being or what they do before, during and after the fight. It’s a good combination of everything,” Shevchenko said.
Valentina Shevchenko puts the strawweight belt at stake on September 25th, when he faces Lauren Murphy in the co-main event of UFC 266, in Las Vegas (USA).
