Michael chandler drew a lot of attention recently with his position in relation to vaccines against Covid 19. During his participation in the program The MMA Hour, on the North American website MMAFighting, Michael chandler spoke further on the subject and stated that he was labeled as anti-vaccine after a question and answer session with his followers on Instagram.

“The funny thing about this vaccination story is that I didn't go public and tell people about the vaccine, I didn't get here on your program and start talking about the vaccine. I was on a private Instagram live session with a few thousand people or whatever. Five minutes after I pressed the button to end the broadcast, MMA Junkie or one of these MMA sites published that I wasn't going to get vaccinated and I ended up being labeled as anti-vaccine,” explained Chandler.

Despite denying being anti-vaccine, Chandler stated that he may never get vaccinated against Covid 19 and cited “individual freedom” to justify his decision.

PUBLICITY:

“I’m not anti-vaccine. I personally haven't had the vaccine so far and I don't know if I will one day. Personally, I believe that we live in the best country in the world. I believe this is the best country in the world because of our individual freedoms and personal choices, especially when it comes to our bodies and our health. That's my position. People labeled me as anti-vaccine when I was just answering a question,” argued the former Bellator champion.

About to face Justin Gaetjhe in UFC 268In November, Chandler responded to his opponent's accusations, who stated that he was trying to attract attention with his comments regarding the vaccine.

PUBLICITY:

“If I had gone on tour talking about the fact that I didn't get the vaccine, or if I was telling everyone that the vaccine is rubbish, or something like that, then yes I would be trying to get attention. I was on my personal Instagram with my followers who were asking about it”, he concluded.
