Ex-UFC Dan Hardy criticizes Tyron Woodley for his performance against Jake Paul

The former fighter criticized the performance of the former welterweight champion and stated that the low level of the confrontation could alienate fans in the future

This time, the criticism came from Dan Hardy, former challenger for the welterweight title (under 77,1kg). The Englishman criticized the former UFC champion's performance and said that the level of the duel against the YouTuber could end the success of duels between athletes and YouTubers.

“The reason I was angry is that he validated exactly what I thought would happen and I expected more from him. You're close to 40, your rap career isn't going anywhere, your MMA career is over, you've got a guy in front of you who's been talking shit about your mother, who's been talking a lot of shit for how many years? months? So, you have eight rounds to punch him in the face and you're punching him at half power through the ropes and then you don't speed up because you're afraid of being vulnerable? That looks like weakness to me,” attacked Hardy.

The former fighter continued to attack the level of the fight and stated that this could alienate fans who wanted to watch another fight in the future.

“It looks weak and wastes people’s money. I love all these crazy and wonderful fights, but that's where they lose steam. That's when the fire goes out, when people tune in and they see some s*** like that and say, 'I'm not going to buy pay-per-view next time, because the same thing is going to happen,'” concluded Dan .

Welterweight champion from 2016 to 2019, the 'Chosen One' was released from the UFC at the beginning of 2021 after four consecutive defeats. The fighter has an MMA record of 19 wins, seven setbacks and one draw.
