“It was one of the best performances of his (Anderson) life, I would even say it is among the best performances he has done in MMA. For me, the way he defeated César Chávez was incredible. I thought César Chávez would dominate him, because of his boxing experience. He surprised everyone. It was inspiring that he acted like that”, said Georges, in an interview with 'The MMA Hour'.

Considered one of the best MMA fighters of all time, St-Pierre stated that Silva's boxing victory served to erase his recent negative record in MMA. Former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg) in the company, the Brazilian ended his participation in Ultimate with two positive results in the last 10 appearances.

“Great final stretch (in his career) for Anderson Silva, at the time. I hope that, if he continues with these types of fights, it will be something worth it. Let it not be just money, but for legacy, something that makes you shine, look good. If you look at his last performance (in the UFC), against Uriah Hall, it was a little disappointing, even a little sad. But the way he returned was a great way to get back to the top, incredible”, he concluded.
