“I'm tired of these guys not even mentioning my name. Israel adesanya…look at the camera, mention my name. I heard you mention (Darren) Till and (Jared)Cannonier. I have struggled, four years after my defeat, to get back to this point. I’m ready to fight,” said Brunson.

Close to a possible title fight, the North American assumed that he will 'sit and wait' for the winner of the duel between Israel adesanya e Robert whittaker.

“I'm not broken. I'll sit and wait (for the title fight). I know Adesanya and Whittaker have a fight coming up. I'll sit and wait. This gives me five or six months to go forward, get my body right and prepare for this long title push that I'm trying to make,” concluded Derek.

In fifth place in the middleweight division, Brunson should move up a few steps in the next ranking update. Riding on five straight wins, Derek hasn't known what it's like to lose since November 2018, when he was defeated by Israel adesanya. The fighter has a record of 23 triumphs and seven setbacks.
