After receiving advice from Anderson Silva, McGregor responds to legend with the right to vent

After receiving a message from 'Spider' about staying focused on recovery, Irishman uses social media to thank Brazilian

Used to responding to criticisms or suggestions, Conor McGregor changed tone when advice came from the legendary Anderson Silva. After learning that 'Spider' suggested that the 'Notorious' keep his focus on recovering from the serious injury he suffered in UFC 264, the former double Ultimate champion used social media to respond to the Brazilian. Together, the star launched an outburst.

“Thank you very much for the message, great Anderson. Thanks. I have had very little support from my fellow fighters. In fact, exactly the opposite happens. The masks fell off. Don't worry. I love a little scratch,” wrote Conor, on his account on Instagram.

This week, Silva, in conversation with 'Submission Radio’, advised McGregor to focus on his recovery from the injury suffered at UFC 264. At the time, the Brazilian recommended that the Irishman only worry about fighting when the fracture in his left ankle has been repaired.

An Ultimate phenomenon, Conor underwent surgery and is currently working to resume his MMA activities. The expectation is that the 'Notório' will return to the octagon in 2022.

In recent weeks, McGregor has attracted attention on social media for provoking former rivals in the sport. Dustin poirier, the athlete's executioner twice in 2021, and Nate diaz are two of the former double UFC champion's favorite targets.
