After the serious injury suffered in UFC 264, at the beginning of July, Conor McGregor became a kind of 'provocation machine gun' on social media. Willing to help the Irishman return to MMA, Anderson Silva used his experience to advise the 'Notorious' and suggested more focus on the recovery process.

“Take your time and keep working, doing physical therapy, working on your upper body and keep your thoughts outside the world of fighting. Stay focused on recovery and don't think about fighting tomorrow or in six months. Just recover. Be ready to prepare your head when you return, and you will come back stronger, better”, said Anderson, in an interview with 'Submission Radio'.

The biggest middleweight (up to 83,9 kg) in the history of MMA, Silva suffered a similar injury in 2013, when he had his rematch against Chris Weidman. Thus, the Brazilian has plenty of experience and continued to use his past to try to help McGregor, who continues to challenge active athletes in the UFC.

“Your head needs to remain ready, connected to your heart, to make you strong, to continue challenging yourself and proving how much you love your work. How much can you keep doing this when you have the same Anderson, Weidman and Conor. The mental side is very important”, concluded the former Ultimate champion.
