PFL finalist Ray Cooper III believes he would beat Kamaru Usman 'any day of the week'

The North American was yet another to support the clash between fighters from different organizations and stated that he would defeat the UFC welterweight champion

Finalist of the welterweight GP (up to 77,1kg) and last champion of the tournament, Ray Cooper III showed interest in going beyond the borders of the PFL. The North American stated that he was in favor of fighters from different organizations facing each other and stated that he would beat the UFC champion Kamaru Usman. The statement was given in an interview with 'B.J. Penn'.

“It would be great for the sport. It would be like boxing with the World Organization fighting the champion of the International Federation. I don't know why they don't do this. It's an initiative that prosecutors could do to see who is the biggest, you know? This would open a lot of doors to have fighters face each other to see who truly is the best. I think I'm the best. I believe I would win Kamaru Usman any day of the week. This could be done and we can have great fights, because anyone in the UFC can take part. I'm the best of them all. I’m ready and that would be amazing,” Cooper said.

In the big decision of the 2021 season, Cooper will face the Russian Magomed Magomedkerimov. The event is scheduled for October 27th. The American has a record of 23 wins, seven setbacks and one draw.
