Ultimate's “second home”, Canada, will host another night of fights in 2013. The organization announced, during the “UFC Tonight” program, that UFC 165, scheduled for September 21st, will take place at the Air Canada Center in the city of Toronto. The gym is home to the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and the NBA's Toronto Raptors.
This will be the 14th edition of the UFC on Canadian soil. Thus, the North American country surpasses Great Britain, which has already held 13 events, and stands alone as the second nation that hosted the most Ultimate events – the United States, obviously, occupies the first place.
Ultimate's return to Toronto comes one year after the organization's last visit to the city. On that occasion, on September 22, 2012, Jon Jones successfully defended the light heavyweight belt against the Brazilian Vitor belfort at UFC 152.
