Defeated in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 34 this Saturday (21), Kelvin Gastelum criticized the judges' decision. The middleweight fighter (up to 83,9kg) congratulated Jared Cannonier for the victory, he praised the fight between them, but stated that, in his opinion, he deserved to have won the fight.

"Congratulations to Jared Cannonier for a very competitive fight. Small adjustments and we're back on top. Tonight just proved that. We are very close to being the best in the world”, wrote Gastelum in his 'Twitter'.
Regarding the result of the fight, Rafael Cordeiro's pupil did not elaborate on his words, but was very direct when giving his opinion on who should have won in his opinion.
“I think I won, but whatever it is…”, Kelvin amended.
In ninth place in the middleweight rankings, Gastelum is at risk of dropping out of the top-10 in the next ranking update. The winner of TUF 17 is going through a difficult phase in his career and has won just one of the last five fights he has had in the organization. The North American has so far recorded 17 positive results and eight negative results in his career.
