Brazilian ex-Pride man is arrested with 22 kilos of cocaine in Rio Grande do Sul

Edson Drago was detained by the Federal Highway Police, with a large quantity of drugs hidden in the car he was driving.

MMA fighter Edson Drago suffered the worst defeat of his 17-year professional career on Monday afternoon (18). The Brazilian was arrested by the Federal Highway Police with 22 kilos of cocaine and crack hidden under the bumper and inside the dashboard of the car he was driving. The information was released through a report on the channel 'SBT'.

The Brazilian fighter was arrested in the city of Santiago, a municipality in Rio Grande do Sul that is 446 km from the capital Porto Alegre. Edson was caught by the PRF with 22 kilos of cocaine and crack hidden in a White Fiat Siena. The veteran tried to escape but was captured by agents. The police reported that the drugs were worth around US$380 (around R$2 million at current prices). The Tupiniquim athlete already has police records for robbery, embezzlement, kidnapping and illegal possession of a weapon.
