Announcing retirement is one of the biggest challenges for an MMA athlete. No wonder, many try to return after a period of inactivity and suffer hard defeats on their return. But the mystique didn't last for Georges St-Pierre, who managed to win the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg) after four years of inactivity.

Considered one of the best fighters in the history of the sport, the Canadian submitted Michael Bisping, made history and retired for the second time, in November 2017. Still, his return is constantly questioned. And, in an interview with 'Haymakers', GSP stated that he would not return to try for the top, but he opens the doors in return to help charities.

“I’m not going to fight again to prove that I’m the best in the world. This part of my life is over, as I believe my best years are behind me. However, for a charity or a fun competition, I may compete again. Whether it's boxing, fighting or whatever. It might be interesting, because I'm a competitor within myself and to do something for fun and that doesn't affect my legacy. It’s a different reason and I could do it,” St-Pierre said.

At 40 years old, St-Pierre is one of the biggest names in welterweight history (up to 77kg) and leads the list of title victories (12). The Canadian was also middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg) and had great victories against names like Matt hugs, B.J. Penn, Carlos Condit e John hendricks. In his career, there were 26 triumphs and two defeats.
