“Congratulations to the legend, José Aldo. Good fight”, wrote Yan, in his account on Twitter.
Last weekend, the former featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg) took to the Octagon for one of the toughest challenges in his recent career in Ultimate. In front of the experienced Peter Munhoz, the man from Manaus did not have an easy life, but beat his compatriot in a tense confrontation, with a unanimous decision from the judges.
With the victory, Aldo confirmed his good form in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2kg). Coming from two positive results in a row, the 'People's Champion' defended fifth place in the group and once again dreamed of a future title fight.
After overcoming Pedro, Aldo did not ask for a title fight. The athlete turned his gaze to the former category champion, TJ Dillashaw, who returned to MMA with victory last month, after serving a two-year suspension for doping. The North American won Cory Sandhagen in its commitment and, today, occupies second position in the division.
Congratulations to the legend @josealdojunior good fight
