Highlights in the recent history of the dangerous heavyweight division, Derrick Lewis e Cyryl Gane will have the opportunity to wear an interim belt in their careers. Representatives in the top positions in the category's ranking, the 'giants' face each other thinking ahead: unifying the title.

The clash between the athletes caused some surprise on the part of fans, the specialized press and even the group's linear champion, Francis Ngannou. When he found out about the confirmation of the match, the French-Cameroonian went public to reinforce his dissatisfaction, as he is not injured and did not even defend his position.

Asking for passage, Derrick and Ciryl accepted the commitment and are ready for war. Former title challenger, Lewis will need to overcome his opponent's refined technique and versatility to qualify for a rematch with Francis.

Undefeated in MMA, Gane will face yet another opponent known for his extraordinary strength. It remains to be seen what strategy will be adopted by the Frenchman, who does not shy away from acting strategically to achieve victory.

2) Who faces Ngannou?

Apparently, the winner of the main fight will earn the right to become the first challenger to Ngannou's reign. The athlete, who won the belt in March, has not yet managed to put his title on the line.

As soon as he reached the absolute top of the heavyweight division, Francis ensured that he would be an active champion. The 'giant', however, continues to wait to find out who his first opponent will be.

Current number two in the heavyweight rankings, Lewis is enjoying a great moment within the organization. Coming from four consecutive victories, the 'giant' was the last man to defeat the current champion. Before being confirmed as Gane's opponent, Derrick even negotiated a duel against Francis. The agreement, however, ended up not being implemented.

French promise in MMA, Gane is looking for his first UFC title. In addition to the feat, the fighter also defends his invincibility in his career. The athlete doesn't know what it's like to lose nine sporting commitments.

3) Aldo x Munhoz

An important clash for the weight class, Aldo against Munhoz has the necessary ingredients to be the 'Fight of the Night'. Precisely in the 'marriage', the UFC puts two athletes face to face who are capable of competing for the division title soon.

On one side, the legendary Aldo. Living a new moment in the roosters, the Manauara team wants to confirm the good phase after three negative results in a row. In his last clash, in December 2020, the 'People's Champion' overcame Marlon Vera and triumphed again in his career. Now, the Brazilian will have a new challenge ahead of him and defends fifth place in the group.

One of the most experienced names in the category, Pedro will be committed to stopping Manauara's momentum. Current number nine in the division, the São Paulo native is looking to return to the top 5 and aims for his dream title fight in the group.

The duel between the Brazilians promises aggression, as open fighting is a notable feature between the two Brazilians.

4) Luque x Chiesa

Brazilian promise in welterweight, Vincent Luque He is ready for another big challenge in his career. Seeking a place in the top 5 of the category led by Kamaru Usman, the Brazilian will face the pragmatic Michael chiesa this weekend.

The duel between the athletes will mark a meeting of styles. While Vicente presents himself as a fighter who likes open confrontation, Chiesa has excellent wrestling as his strong point and his biggest pitfalls.

To win, Luque needs to be able to nullify Michael's strategy, who defends fifth place in the category. If he beats the North American, Vicente will get even closer to his dream title fight.

5) More Brazil

On the preliminary card of the show, the yellow-green will be taken to the Octagon by two representatives. Anderson Berinja and Melissa Gatto They will be the first to step onto the stage at the weekend.

The first Tupiniquim at the event, Berinja wants to confirm his good form in the duel against Miles Johns. The Brazilian makes the long-awaited fight after testing positive for Covid-19 and being withdrawn from the fight, which would take place in July. Willing to advance in bantamweight, the athlete is looking for his second consecutive triumph in Ultimate.

Undefeated in professional MMA, Melissa Gatto, finally, will make his UFC debut. Hired in 2019, the athlete celebrates her debut in the organization in front of Victoria Leonardo. The fighter represents the flyweight category (up to 56,7kg) and will try to give a great business card to Brazilian fans this Saturday.
