José Aldo celebrates 'aggressive' Pedro Munhoz as his opponent at UFC 265: 'Everyone wins'

Brazilian highlight on the card, 'Campeão do Povo' does not hide expectations for a duel against his compatriot this Saturday

One of the stars of UFC 265, José Aldo is excited about his commitment this Saturday (7). At the weekend, the 'People's Champion' will divide the Brazilian fans in the duel against Peter Munhoz, valid for bantamweight (up to 61,2kg.). As far as Manauara depends, however, spectators have something to celebrate with the confrontation, due to the style of the protagonists of the co-main fight.

“I'm expecting a very aggressive fight, because of our styles. Everyone will win”, said Aldo, in an interview with 'MMA Junkie'.

Current number five in the bantamweight rankings, José knows the difficulties he will encounter in the Octagon this Saturday. Facing one of the most experienced names in the group, the former featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg) praised Pedro, a standout in the division for years.

“He’s a very tough guy, with a lot of fights in the category. He is aggressive. Good for me because, because of my style, I can find a way to find victory,” he concluded.

No UFC 265, Aldo will defend his place in the top 5, in addition to aiming for an even more prominent position in the division led by aljamain sterling. If he overcomes Munhoz, the Brazilian could get closer to being a title challenger.
