The soap opera about the opponent of Fedor Emelianenko upon his return to Bellator. According to Russian journalist Igor Lazorin, Tim Johnson will be the opponent of “The Last Emperor” on October 23, in the main fight of the first event in the organization's history to be held in Moscow, the capital of Russia.

Tim Johnson was chosen among several possibilities. Since Fedor's return was announced on June 25th, several big names in MMA have offered to face the “Last Emperor”. Among them, Brazilians Junior Gypsy e Fabricio Werdum, the Dutch alistair overeem and the American Josh Barnett.
Considered by many one of the greatest heavyweights in MMA history, Fedor Emelianenko will step into the Bellator cage for the first time since 2019. In his last appearance, the Russian knocked out the former UFC champion Quinton Rampage Jackson. In the last four fights, Fedor won three and was defeated only by Ryan bader.
Like Fedor, Tim Johnson has three wins in his last four fights. The American, however, is coming off a defeat to Valentin Moldavsky in the interim heavyweight title fight in June this year.
In addition to the duel between Fedor Emelianenko and Tim Johnson, Bellator Moscow has also confirmed the presence of former champion Vitaly Minakov, who will face Tyrell Fortune. Another name confirmed on the card is Usman Nurmagomedov, Khabib's cousin, still without a defined opponent.
