In search of 'new opportunities' in the UFC, the former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) cody garbrandt decided to change category and already has a date set for its debut. The North American will now play in the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg) and will face Kai Kara France in a duel scheduled for December 11th. The information was first released by 'ESPN'.

Former leader of the bantamweight category, Garbrandt is not in a good phase in his career. Since 2017, in his last five fights the 'No love' won only one, against Raphael Assunção in June 2020. The North American suffered defeats to TJ Dillashaw (twice), Peter Munhoz e Rob font. The 30-year-old fighter has a record in the sport of 12 positive results and four negative results.
Responsible for receiving cody garbrandt in the new category, Kai Kara France is the current number 11 in the flyweight division. The New Zealand fighter has had an inconsistent sequence of results in his last fights. The fighter has a record of 22 triumphs and nine setbacks in professional MMA.
The show does not yet have a defined location and main card.
