Khabib Nurmagomedov includes Ronaldo Fenômeno in the list of athletes who inspired him in his career

During his appearance on Mike Tyson's podcast, the Russian cited the former Brazilian striker as one of his main inspirations

Retired from professional MMA with an impeccable record of 29 wins and no losses, Khabib Nurmagomedov serves as an inspiration for those who dream of being a fighter and even for those who already are. The Russian, however, had his own inspirations that led him to be a high-level athlete.

During his participation in the Hot Boxin' podcast, led by the former boxer Mike Tyson, Khabib revealed the names of the three athletes who most inspired him in his career. Among them, the former Brazilian football team striker, Ronaldo Fenômeno.

“The three athletes who inspired me the most? They were the Brazilian Ronaldo, Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali,” replied the former UFC champion.

Khabib Nurmagomedov revealed the Mike Tyson who already had the opportunity to meet Ronaldo, but regretted never having met Muhammad Ali.

“I've already met two of them, but I never had the opportunity to meet Muhammad Ali. In another life, who knows. I really believe that in the next life I will meet him,” said the Russian.

Khabib Nurmagomedov retired from professional MMA at the end of 2020, after losing his father Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, a victim of Covid-19. The Russian ended his career undefeated and with three successful defenses of the UFC lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) belt.
