UFC President says Chael Sonnen would be champion if he wasn't knocked out in the first round

Jon Jones took no notice of Chael Sonnen and impetuously knocked out his rival in the main fight of UFC 159, an event held this Saturday (27), in Newark, in the United States. During a punching session on Sonnen, Jones' toe got stuck in the octagon and he ended up fracturing his limb.

“I felt like I was broken, but I wasn’t going to stop the fight. I think my team would also let me continue”, said Jon, at the press conference after the show. Despite the champion guaranteeing that he would continue in the dispute, UFC president, Dana White, stated that he would be prevented from returning to the fight if the round ended and the referee noticed the injury.

As Jones' victory was declared 4:33 into the fight, if Chael Sonnen If he endured another 27 seconds of competition, he would probably be the new champion of the category.
