At the height of his career, Kamaru Usman is close to confirming another rematch ahead. After running over Jorge masvidal, the welterweight champion (up to 77kg.) can, once again, face off against an old acquaintance. According to the 'ESPN', Ultimate negotiates a rematch between the Nigerian and Colby covington for November, in UFC 268.

If the confrontation is made official, the new meeting will take place approximately two years after the 'war' between the welterweights, in the title dispute. At the UFC 245, Usman came out on top, knocking out his opponent in the fifth round.
Since sharing the Octagon with Covington, Kamaru has completed three more title defenses. On each occasion, the 'Nigerian Nightmare' was successful and remained at the top of the category.
Current number one in the rankings, behind only the champion, Covington has not performed since September 2020. In the match, the North American recovered from the setback suffered by Usman by beating the former leader of the group, Tyron woodley.
Ultimate Champion since 2019, Usman currently occupies second place in the company's weight-for-weight rankings. The 34-year-old fighter has 19 victories and one setback in his career. Covington, 33, has 16 positive results and two negative results.
