The situation involving the duel between Miranda and Barber gained great repercussion after some analysts and the specialized press disagreed with the scores of two of the judges. Over the weekend, the website 'MMA Decisions' revealed that 22 journalists declared victory for Maverick, conflicting with what was determined by those responsible for the show's outcome.

With the defeat, Miranda ended up suffering his first defeat with the Ultimate gloves. On the other hand, Barber, who is considered a promise for the organization, ended a series of two setbacks.
