Rumors of a fight between former UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva and Logan Paul in September this year. Despite his vast CV in MMA and the recent victory over former world champion Julio César Chávez Jr. on his return to professional boxing, Spider appeared as an underdog in betting on a possible duel against the YouTuber.

According to the website ProBoxingOdds, which specializes in betting on the noble art, the betting lines for the confrontation opened as follows: whoever bets 100 dollars (around R$520) on Anderson Silva, wins 160 dollars (around R$832) in case of the Brazilian's victory, while to profit 100 dollars from Logan Paul's triumph, the bettor needs to pay 200 dollars (around R$1040).
Considered one of the greatest fighters in MMA history, Anderson Silva hung up his small gloves in October 2020, when he lost to Uriah Hall. At 46 years old, the Brazilian chose to continue in the fighting world and resume his short career in professional boxing, a sport in which he had performed twice, only in Brazilian territory.
Spider's first challenge in his return to the ring was against Mexican Julio César Cháves Jr, in Guadalajara, in his opponent's home country. With great performance, Anderson Silva came away with victory by split decision from the judges.
If the fight is confirmed, it will be the second major combat sports star that Logan Paul has faced in a row. The YouTuber is coming off an exhibition fight against boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. Paul fought the former world champion for eight rounds and was not knocked out. As the duel had an exhibition nature, no one was declared the winner.
