According to 'ESPN', the California State Athletic Commission is trying to change the initial agreement for the fight between Belfort and Oscar. Previously, the clash between the veterans would only be an exhibition match. According to one of Thriller Fight Club's representatives, Ryan Kavanaugh, the initiative for change came from the boxer.
“(Oscar) was the one who said, 'I'm in the best shape of my life. F*ck the exhibition. I'm really going to do it'. They're both in incredible shape,” Kavanaugh told 'ESPN'.
The confrontation between Vitor and De La Hoya will last eight rounds, lasting two minutes each. The fight between the two will take place at catchweight, with a maximum of 81,6kg.
Important information has not yet been released. It is not known how many jaguars the gloves used by the protagonists will contain.
On his social networks, Belfort confirmed the agreement.
“This fight will not be an exhibition. It's a real fight”, published 'Fenômeno'.
Today, Vitor is 44 years old and has not performed since 2018 (MMA). Oscar is 48 and his last challenge was in December 2008.
