On Twitter, Gegard Mousasi talks about moving to middleweight

Fighter asks followers for their opinion on a hypothetical division change

After his debut in Ultimate, with a victory over Ilir Latifi at UFC Sweden, Gegard Mousasi You are already starting to think about other directions for your career in the new organization. The new plans include a possible change of category, or at least that's what the light heavyweight suggested in a post on his official profile on Twitter.

“Hey guys, what do you think if I move up to 185 pounds (middleweight category)?” tweeted the former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion. “I’m curious what people think about this idea.”, he added.

Fighting in this division, up to 84 kg, would not be something new for the Armenian-Dutch, who once held the DREAM middleweight title and won the grand prix category by the same organization. However, Mousasi has not fought at this weight since 2008 – when he beat the Brazilian Ronaldo Jacare.
