Trilogy between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder is rescheduled for October in Las Vegas

Rivals were due to face each other on July 24, but Fury and members of his team tested positive for Covid-19

The trilogy between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder already has a new date to happen. The heavyweights will face each other on October 9th, at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas (USA). The news was initially reported by the North American ESPN.

The duel was originally scheduled to take place on July 24, but Fury and some members of his team tested positive for Covid-19 and the fight had to be postponed.

“There's nothing I'd like more than to crush 'Big Dosser' on July 24th, but I guess the beating will have to wait. Make no mistake, I will be back better than ever. We’re going to fight on October 9th and I’m going to knock him out really well”, teased Fury.

The third fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder was already controversial before it had a date to happen. The Brit was in advanced negotiations to face compatriot Anthony Joshua when Wilder activated an automatic rematch clause in his second fight contract and disrupted Fury's plans.

In the first meeting between the two, Tyson Fury survived two knockdowns, but dominated much of the confrontation, which ended in a draw.

In the rematch, Fury completely dominated the action throughout the entire period until achieving the knockout in the seventh round.

Tyson Fury arrives at the trilogy undefeated in his career, with 30 victories, 21 of which were by knockout, and one draw. Deontay Wilder, in turn, seeks revenge for the only setback in his career. The American has 42 wins, 41 by knockout, one defeat and one draw.
