A true massacre marked the fight that opened the main card of the UFC 264, held this Saturday (10), in Las Vegas (USA). Promise in bantamweight (up to 61,2kg.), Sean O'Malley ignored Kris moutinho, chosen at the last minute for the confrontation and carried out a historic beating. The debutant showed strength, but was unable to avoid a knockout in the last round.

New 'Ultimate darling', Sean stepped into the Octagon with the pressure of not losing to an opponent scheduled with less than two weeks to go before the show. The American, however, showed calm, abused the technique and promoted a monologue.
Responsible for replacing Louis Smolka, injured, Moutinho accepted the challenge of changing forces against one of the organization's biggest bets. The athlete showed courage, absorbing hard blows, but could not resist his opponent's precise attacks.
With the new triumph, O'Malley reached his 14th positive result as a professional in MMA. Now, the fighter has two consecutive victories in the UFC.
The fight
The fight started with Moutinho attacking O'Malley in the opening seconds. Sean responded with a straight shot and a series of low punches. Kris continued walking forward and tried to frame his opponent against the bars. Although Moutinho tried to show service, Sean was more effective in exchanging blows, touching the opponent more efficiently. Halfway through the round, O'Malley started attacking his opponent with more power. Kris showed strength, but received clean attacks to the face. Moutinho continued to resist and tried to react from the loss, but Sean wasted attacks. In the final seconds, O'Malley scored a knockdown and attempted a guillotine choke, but there was no more time.
In the second stage, a repeat of the first round. O'Malley remained effective with his strikes and continued the show in front of his opponent. Moutinho continued to absorb attacks well and move forward, but was caught in his opponent's counterattacks. Even suffering the impact of Sean's blows, Kris resisted, but did not scare his rival. The round ended with a clean right from O'Malley.
The third round began with Sean once again showing off his dodge. Calm in the confrontation, O'Malley controlled his opponent and delivered the best blows. While Kris tried to find a saving attack, Sean responded immediately and hurt his rival's face with jabs and rights. In the final minute, the audience was thrilled with Moutinho's race and Sean's performance. Towards the end of the fight, O'Malley connected a series of blows to his opponent's face and, realizing the newcomer's situation, the referee decided to end the dispute.

Featured on the main card, Irene aldana had a gala performance in the second fight on the main card. Representative of the under-61,2kg division, the Mexican was not aware of It's Kunitskaya and scored a tough knockout. Famous for her strength in her fists, the positive result came in the first round.
With the result, Aldana defended fourth position in the category led by Amanda nunes. The triumph made the Mexican woman win again in the category after the setback she suffered to Holly holm, in October of last season.
Companion of Thiago Marreta, Kunitskaya momentarily steps away from a dreamed title fight. The defeat in UFC 264 interrupted a sequence of two victories in the Russian's record.
