After announcing partnership with nutritionist Mike Dolce, the Cuban Hector Lombard aims at a possible change of category. The former Bellator middleweight champion (up to 84 kg) is considering moving down to the welterweight division (up to 77 kg). The information was revealed on the “UFC Tonight” program, which airs on North American cable TV.
With an MMA record of 32 wins and four losses, Hector Lombard, 35 years old, arrived at Ultimate as one of the main athletes in the world in the category where Anderson Silva is the champion. However, in three appearances in the octagon, Hector was defeated on two occasions. The series of bad results would have been the factor for the Cuban to cut weight and change divisions.
