Just over two years after retiring from professional MMA, the North American Chad Mendes seems inclined to step into the octagon again. In a post made on your 'Instagram', the former challenger in the featherweight division (up to 65,7kg) insinuated that he misses fighting and suggested that he is open to a return 'for the right numbers'.

“The 'itch' is getting stronger and stronger! Maybe I’ll have to start talking some numbers soon”, wrote the American.
Considered one of the biggest names in the featherweight division in recent years, Chad has already challenged for the category's belt on three occasions. In two of them, in 2012 and 2014, 'Money' was defeated by the Brazilian José Aldo. In 2015, after an injury to the then champion with just a few days to go before the event, Mendes was ready to face the then rising promise Conor McGregor.
With little preparation time, the American started well but succumbed in the second round and was knocked out by the Irishman. Chad retired in December 2018 after a setback for Alexander Volkanovsky. The Team Alpha Male athlete hung up his gloves with a record of 18 wins and five losses in professional MMA.
