“He has been talking a lot recently and he will pay for it, for sure. It won't be good. I will bring all my weapons to the duel and hit him with a kick to the head. I've been very busy training and I'm ready to put on a great show,” McGregor teased in a live stream on his official Twitter account.Instagram'.

Conor also made a point of reassuring fans about a possible lack of motivation for the duel. The Irishman reveals that he is even more excited for the trilogy and wants to put on a show in the fight against Poirier.

“I'm in the best shape of my life. The most energy I’ve ever had to cut weight (…). So this will be a great motivation and I'm excited to reach the highest level. I'm ready to put on a show”, concluded 'Notório'.

Standouts in the organization, Dustin and Conor faced each other for the first time in 2014, when they were still playing at featherweight (up to 65,7kg). On that occasion, the Irishman got the better of him and overpowered his opponent with a knockout in the first round. Six years later, the UFC decided to hold a new fight between the athletes, this time at lightweight (up to 70,3kg.) and Poirier showed all his evolution to 'return' the knockout to Conor, in the UFC 257.
